Description | The need for play - and the consequences of not getting enough play - has been studied for some time in animals and human children, but much less research has focused on the importance of play for adults. In this paper, we review what literature exists on an adult's need for play, and the implications of fulfilling or not fulfilling that need. We then describe the development of a new, brief self-report measure of adult play fulfillment that play scholars can use in future research. |
